We have over 25 years of experience in providing Building Regulation Compliance services and we can help provide a varied level of services to match your specific requirements for small scale domestic building works by providing you with a Detailed Working Design Specification that is bespoke to your project.

The Building Regulations apply to building work in England & Wales and set standards for the design and construction of buildings to ensure the health and safety of people in and around those buildings. The Building Regulations include requirements to ensure that minimum acceptable standards for construction are complied with including; Health, Safety and Welfare, conservation of Fuel and Power and, that provision is made for people, including those with disabilities to access and use buildings.

We can make Building Regulation applications for you

Building Notice Application
No plans need to be submitted for a building notice which helps to reduce the cost considerably. All that is required is a completed application form, the correct fee, a Detailed Working Design Specification that is bespoke to your project and a location plan. With a Building Notice Application a Building Control Inspector will make site visits at certain key stages to check that completed work meets the regulations and you will receive a completion certificate after the work is completed.

Regularisation Application
A Regularisation application is for works that have been carried out without a Building Regulations application being made and generally, a Regularisation Certificate is necessary for a mortgage to be raised on the property. Depending on the circumstances, exposure, removal and/or rectification of works may be necessary to establish compliance with the Building Regulations.

If you have completed building works for which a Building Regulation application should have been submitted, you can apply for a Regularisation Certificate. To support this type of application will require A location plan (showing the boundary of your site edged in red), and an As Built Specification compliant with the Building Regulations that were in force when the building works were carried out. Note: sometimes it can be necessary to make changes to not compliant building works, but we will help provide efficient and economic solutions to achieve compliance, enabling you to receive a Regularisation Certificate.
